HMD Global rolls out Android Oreo beta build for Nokia 5, Nokia 6 to follow next
The Oreo beta update is available for Nokia 5 users and they need to register on the Nokia phones beta labs for receiving it.

HMD Global has started rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo beta build for its Nokia 5 smartphone. Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer of HMD Global confirmed it in his tweet and also said that the Nokia 6 will also receive the update soon.
Nokia 5 owners need to sign up for the Nokia phones beta labs to receive the beta version of Android 8.0 Oreo. The beta labs will allow Nokia 5 users to test drive the Oreo build before it's ready for a general roll out. Since the phone will work on a beta version, there could be some bugs and the software experience may not be completely stable. Users can sign up for the program here.
In terms of specifications, the Nokia 5 sports a 5.2-inch HD display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of expandable storage and is powered by a 3000mAh battery. The smartphone sports a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture lens and comes with an 8MP front-facing camera. It runs on Android Nougat out-of-the-box.
